The Bed & Breakfast "Il Palazzotto" is located in Polignano a Mare, a touristic village on the edge of a cliff facing the Adriatic Sea. Polignano a Mare is situated just few miles south of Bari.
The coastline is very picturesque and it is very fascinating due to the great deal of caves, at the sea level, extending deep under the village. The most famous cave is called Grotta Palazzese, just a couple of blocks from the bed & breakfast. The historic centre of Polignano a Mare is characterised by numerous and intricate narrow streets leading to the enchanting balconies overlooking the cliffs.
Polignano includes amongst its past citizens, the well know artist Pino Pascali, to whom it has been dedicated a Museum of Contemporary Arts, and Domenico Modugno, a famous singer and actor.
The perfect place for guest wishing to relax, enjoying the taste of typical local products offered daily during breakfast and to explore various cultural sites that the Apulia region has to offer such as archaeological sites, Romanic and Baroque Cathedrals, the "trulli", the rural churches, the Federico II castles, the fortified "masserie", the Castellana Grotte's caves and the medieval boroughs.
